Dar Al-Taqwa was formed in August, 1992, by the local Muslim leadership as a community-based nonprofit – 501(c)(3) organization. The institution serves the local Muslim and non-Muslim community in Howard County, Maryland and society at large through the promotion of goodwill, unity and understanding. We are a religious, educational, non-profit, non-political organization.
Our community center provides the five daily prayers, including 2 Friday Jumuah prayers, educational talks and seminars, weekend schools, various programs & workshops (i.e., youth, interfaith, outreach, etc.), summer camp, weddings, funeral services, and many other community events & projects throughout the year presented from various Dar Al-Taqwa Committees organized by our diverse group of volunteers.
Dar Al-Taqwa strives to be a welcoming place for everyone and all are invited to use the facility for their social, educational, and spiritual needs. Insh’Allah, with our strong community support and presence, we welcome you and your family and friends to join us to strengthen and contribute positively to our broader society.
Howard County is continually ranked among the best places to live in the United States with diverse, educated, and inclusive population. It offers outstanding educational and professional opportunities as well as recreation and entertainment for the whole family.
