Indeed, to Allah we belong, and to Him we shall all return.

May Allah have mercy on your deceased and may He elevated their rank to the firdaus insha’Allah. May Allah give you patience and hold your heart steadfast during these difficult times. We are here to make the janazah process as smooth as possible for you in your time of need and distress.

We have an exclusive Muslim burial section at Columbia Memorial Park. We offer complete supervision of the entire burial process listed below:

Alhamdulillah, we are able to help our community members by collecting as well as disbursing Zakat-Ul-Maal to in-need Muslim community members.

Zakat is payable at 2.5% of the wealth one possesses above the nisab.

*The Nisab established by Prophet SAWS was 20 gold dinars (87.48 gm) or 200 silver dirhams (612.36 gm). The scholars have given fatwas regarding the permissibility of using either one. Depending upon which standard you use, your Nisab threshold will be higher or lower.

akat-ul-maal can be submitted to the Zakat Committee in the form of cash, check or online payment.

The Zakat application form must be turned into the Zakat Committee for processing, which takes about 14 business days. If this is an emergency, please let the Zakat Committee know (zakat@taqwa.net). All applications must be complete.

Alhamdulillah/ All praise be to Allah for guiding us to the straight path. In order to become a Muslim, one has to pronounce their shahadah/ testimony of faith

“I bear witness that there is no deity worthy of worship but Allah
and
I bear witness that Muhammed is the Messenger of Allah”

A Shahada can be scheduled after any congregational prayers as well as Friday prayers (most common).

We are happy to provide you a mentor to help and guide you. You will also receive a New muslim package including important books & supplies to help make your transition to the faith easier. We are more than happy to answer any questions you may have.
